Overview

The northern corridor linking Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar and GIFT City. Knight Frank describes a "fast-expanding financial services ecosystem centred on GIFT City" (Knight Frank, India Real Estate H1 2026; this is Knight Frank's characterisation).

Connectivity

Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation (GMRC) states that Phase II (28.2 km, 22 stations) is fully commissioned: Motera Stadium to Mahatma Mandir (22.8 km, 20 stations) and GNLU to GIFT City (5.4 km, 2 stations). Status: operational. The final section was inaugurated on 11 January 2026 (PMO).

Infrastructure and planned projects

GMRC lists Phase 2A, Koteshwar Road to the airport (about 6.0 km, 5 stations), and Phase 2B, GIFT City to Shahpur (about 3.3 km, 3 stations). GMRC does not state their construction status. Status: unverified (listed by GMRC; stage not stated).
