Sanand town and the GIDC-managed Sanand II industrial estate west of Ahmedabad, including Bol village next to the estate (Times of India).
Sanand II covers about 2,000 hectares and houses units of companies such as Nestlé, Coca-Cola and Colgate. GIDC has announced smart-estate upgrades, including an optical-fibre network, a command and control centre and a 77,000 sq m Transport Nagar (Times of India). Status: under way. Micron's semiconductor assembly and test facility at Sanand opened on 28 February 2026 and has begun commercial production (Micron). Status: operational. On 1 February 2025 AUDA's board approved drafting Town Planning Scheme No. 387 for about 86.4 hectares of Bol village next to Sanand GIDC (Times of India). Status: proposed (draft scheme, pending state approval).
